History

Created in 2000 by Professor Georges Daube (University of Liege) with the help of private and public investment, Quality Partner originally focused on microbiological analysis (core business) and research via its laboratory. It very quickly began offering customers an accredited procedure (ISO 17025 for analysis and R&D) to objectively verify the ‘Best Before’ dates on their products, as well as ‘challenge tests’.

In 2002, the spin-off received accreditation (ISO 17020) for its inspection department, which performs audits and inspections based on public or private specifications, before receiving accreditation for products certification (EN 45011) a year later.

The latter enables manufacturers to obtain official and visible recognition of the quality of certified products.

In 2003, at the request of international cosmetic product manufacturers, Quality Partner developed a microbiology laboratory specialised in the field of cosmetics.

From 2004 - 2007, its 3 fields of activity were expanded in order to meet all the requirements of the agri-food sector.

In 2008, Quality Partner developed, and received accreditation for, inspections relating to organic production.

In 2009, the company obtained ISO 17.021 accreditation for quality management system certification. This additional step was necessary in order to ensure implementation of the ISO 22 000 standard.

Quality Partner is therefore specialised in three complementary activities, accredited by the FASFC (Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain), which have continued to grow ever since.
